Negative Split (The Pro Move): Running the second half faster than the first. * *Why*: You conserve glycogen early when adrenaline masks fatigue. 3. Positive Split ("Banking Time"): Going out fast to "bank minutes." * *Verdict*: Scientific Suicide. The minutes you "bank" early cost you double in the final 10k due to exponential lactate accumulation.
